Granny's Off Again

I'm heading off tomorrow for another job.  Starting at Adelaide, heading to Broken Hill via Gladstone, then on to Lyndhurst.

I won't know the exact route until I see the permit which allows us to take oversize loads on specified roads around the country.

The hardest part about this job is getting paid.  It happens eventually, but I've already spent the money so I want it back sooner rather than later.

If you're on the Barrier Highway or the Flinders Ranges, keep an eye out for Rosy and me.  When you see us put your eye back in.  LOL

You're right about the late payments for pilots Granny!

As a WA accreditated pilot, I sometime have to wait up to 3 months for any payment. It seems to me that pilots are  often the last ones booked for a job - your services are required with minimum warning, (often right NOW), however always the last ones to be paid!!

Trucking companies seem to often forget we have to buy tyres, fuel etc. as well!

I presume there is another Gladstone down that way and you don't mean the one up here in Qld.

The NSW one is around 15 Ks Northwest of Kempsey.  There is also one in SA and one in TAS.

Cheers,

Sheba.
