I'll be there again this year Norma. When do you look like getting back there? Are you travelling now? I'm heading to Coffs today and then slowly home after spending the weekend. Really looking forward to a Greens fix again. I can pop up from home no problem. Met some folk here last night at Yalgum who were talking about Mareeba Rodeo grounds and how much fun they had up there. Tess
Struth guys...I think I might have had a blow out in my sneaker...I keep going around in circles and trying to catch up with myself. But Greens seems to be my target and possibly last days of October and throw out the anchor till it gets too rusty.
Twice I have made the attempt to get away but returned soon after with body dilemmas, but now with a better set up, more at ease with myself, I'll be there ready willing and able..watch out.

Cheers guys.
I hope you get away okay this time Ole Grizzly, and you'll be nice and comfy. Just take your time.
We will head up for a few days when back on the road just to try and meet up with some of you lot. out of interest what if any facilities are there.. Water? etc
Only public toilets Mike C. Water not drinkable, BYO. Always pays to byo toilet paper too. Others have a habit of pinching the big rolls. No showers but a dip in the lake does if you don't have your own facilities on board. I would imagine you would be fairly self sufficient though Mike. Look forward to meeting you.
Beth, there will always be someone there. Might not be a grey nomad but do the rounds and see who you come up with. We always park straight down on the waters edge to the right of the boat ramp. But there are plenty of great spots much further afield, to the left you come to a channel, can park anywhere all the way along. To the right as far as you can go are some really great spots as well.
There could be a few Rosie. I won't be there till at least mid November. I think yeoeleven will be there in October. Beth and family are heading in that direction now, could be about that date. Some of the regulars are due mid to late Oct-early Nov. Once some arrive they stay for a couple of months, there will always be someone there, I would say to at least March.
No start or end date Lorraine. Some come early and go late. Depends on their plans. Last year we planned for the Melb Cup weekend but a lot had arrived early anyway. I had already had two trial runs out there in October. I would say beginning of November. I do know of a few passing through there earlier, I think yeoeleven will be one and maybe Dougwe and some others I've seen mentioned on here.
In that case I think the start date should be Melbourne Cup weekend every year. That way there will be no confusion. For anyone wanting to catch up with as many GNs as possible a definite date is needed.
Unfortunately I wont be down at Greens this time after all .. made arrangements this morning to get some work done on the MH but the earliest will be the 1st Nov .. so will hang about the Hunter valley until its all done .. all forward plans are now on hold ..
Yes, there is fishing. Every morning early the tinnies head out to the other side of the lake for hours. On the local side, everyone has their fishing rods out. Don't know what bait they use and won't guarantee you will catch anything. I know nothing about fishing.
