jericho free camp or its showground


confusehowdy all, has anyone recently (like this year) stopped at either the jericho showgrounds or the free camp apparently just outa town, i see that the showgrounds has facilities with a first in first served basis and honesty box, but am curious about the free camp just out of town i think on the jordan river. any facilities at the jordan??. hope someone has some feedback and safe travels to all.

The freecamp by Jordan River is very pleasant; we stayed there mid-June. There are fairly well-kept toilet facilities, external shower (I think just cold water), comfortable walk to town. enough room for most rigs although not a huge area. Was one of our favourite stops in central Qld. Here are a couple of pics..

Yes it has toilets and an outside shower (cold only). There is also a tap there from which you can fill your water tanks.

Lovely place to stay.We are there now 29 August. Not many here, people coming and going. Asked the bloke picking up the rubbish bins what time limits for staying here, and he said wasn't any limit.  We are at the Jordan river camp.

Jerico is east of Barcaldine Qld. 341 in Camps book 5. great park on Jordan river.
