Not a whinge at all Hylda. Had said poster just posted on his experience, to me that would of been fine. By all means, this forum is to bring notifications to good places and sadly, those not up to par. Nothing wrong with that at all.
But to call a place greedy and cancerous is just plane rude. Especially when they didn't even stay there one night. Imagine rocking up to any given place you've ever been to. Metting some total stranger that basically says 'this place sucks' and accepting that for fact. Any given place in the world that offers services has good and bad nights. If all we ever did was listen to the negative, you'd never stay anywhere.
If a showground, a restaurant, pub or anything else has a proven history of bad service, by all means it should be reported and discussed. Me, before I ever even thought about going to anywhere I'd be researching it. But to just rock up to a place, hear one opinion and then post on a very public forum that the place is 'greedy and cancerous is again, rude.
Typing a different opinion is not a whinge.

And yet another story of someone whinging. Seriously, take an honest read of the recent posts here. More and more it's about people wanting more for less. Honestly, it's quite tiresome reading about how things 'used to be'. I do feel empathy for pensioners and it's not cheap to be on the road. But it's a lifestyle that you have chosen. Times change, as do prices! Sooner or later, one has stop living in the past.
The pot boiling the kettle black??? Now what is your definition of whinging then??
The 'Happy Hour' was wonderful last night and it was certainly worthwhile choosing to stay here instead of the show ground. It seems we were not the only ones to be a little upset with the price hike either. According to those that were there less than twelve months ago, the nightly charge was $15.00 for a powered site and the seventh night was free.
My apologies to those who construed my rant as a 'whinge' and found my 'Subject Header' a little raw, just as well you weren't here at the happy hour, the experiences and descriptive language would have made even my RSM blush.
But as some have pointed out here in the thread, someone has to earn a decent crust, it's just a pity that it is not the hard grafting folk who manage the places.
