Jimbo you have left yourself wide open as to what to keep handy, with gastro there is only one thing and that is bucket.
I'd be getting to a Dr. Jimbo. The bad Flu this season has Gastro as one of the symptoms. The Home my friends' mother is in was closed to outside visitors for 3 weeks this month, as they had an outbreak there. Nasty one. Don't take chances.
I always carry Gastro Stop with me, as I have Ulcerative Colitis and it doesn't take much to set me off. But in your case I'd say let it run it's course. If it continues, get to a Dr.
OH Jimbo, is it gastro or the sh*ts because the colliewobbliers lost?
Seriously, your best friend is the bucket, but you need to keep hydrated, so gastrolyte or water, and keep sipping. You should take note of your urine output- if you dehydrate badly you'll stop peeing and you need medical help.
The first thing I go for after it all stops is natural yoghurt to replace the natural bowel flora.
You should be meticulous with hand washing, cause that's how it spreads, that hand sanitiser works a treat.
Imodium works well. I usually don't need to take more than one or two tablets. I keep them in my travel pack for when we're away on holidays - especially overseas.
