Best layed plans go astray

Headed of early yesterday morning with the idea that I would drive north from perth for 3 hrs up the great northern highway then head east into the goldfields. From there the destination wasnt real clear but the intention was to be home sometime that night. Plans change. Not very far up the great northern I struck pilots with 2 lane wide load, followed for 1/2 hour and then we were waved passed and then to find we (being about 10 vehicles) were stuck behind another section of the first load. Seeing the turn off for the Brand highway plans changed, now heading up the brand highway but now heading north west instead of north east so decided maybe another day at the pinicals was in order. Spent about 3 hrs wandering around the pinicals camera inhand. Spent a bit of time tracking a dingo but didnt sight it after a few kms, so give up. Tracked an emu for a bit that had taken fright eariler as the prints were about 12 foot apart (might have also been a big emu with little feet). Then headed a bit further north to Jurian bay for a look. Started heading in a southerly direction about 3.30 pm and did a reverse of the trip up only this time taking different roads between highways. Over 600km for the day and quite a few pics

cheers

Just goes to show, never plan too much as there is always something better around the next corner.

As long as you left some energy for Friday Blaze, it promises to be a good day and good weather forecast.......
