frogs on the hop at cunnamulla

Well we are at Cunnamulla, Qld and the weather is nice and our fellow caravaners are great, been here for two happy hours now and there is a lot of people heading south, but like us they are keeping an eye on the weather down south and are thinking of slowing down a tad, but we are still heading north - the warmer weather is quite inviting to the wife and she is feeling so much better. A bloke was telling me last night a loaf of bread out at birdsville goes for $11.00, races on this weekend. Got the satellite all set up to watch south sydney play newcastle tonight - go bunnies. Attached some photos, well I hope it works, the park is only new been open since 15th April bit open as the trees are not big but very peaceful and nice people, lovely. Well take care everyone and enjoy.

Frogs - we have just missed you - came thru Cunamulla three days ago - where are you headed now? Cruising Granny is here at the Nindigully pub with us, we are all leaving tomorrow for Goondawindi.

Hi ...

Our last stop at the Mulla was at the CP backing on to the big sand hill.  I enjoyed walking round it.  The CP was OK too. A relo lived in Cunnamulla for several years working for the Railways.

Jules, say hullo to Chris from us.  Nindi Gully has great memories for me.  I was stuck there for a week in the 60's with all the roads (not sealed in those days) washed out.  I used to spend lots of time in the general area, usually more east than there chasing wild pigs & roos in my youth.

When we were there last year, it was wet again with lots of vans down on the river unable to get out of the mud.

Great Pub & great spot IMHO.

cheers all ... G

Will do tiger5, yes the park opened on the 15th April, the managers name is Judy Roberts and is very helpful, wants to make you happy. When coming into town from Bourke of the Mitchell Hwy you travel up Emma st, then left before the bridge at the Warrego Hotel into Garden st, which becomes Weir Rd and is about 3klm's on the right.
