Millmerran Camp Oven Festival 6th/7th October

As mentioned in a previous post I have arrived in Millmerran a few days early and settled in to my new area (Green Singles) the van has been fixed up again and I am awaiting an influx of singles. At the moment I have 4 spaces on one side and 3 on the other.cry

I have erected my annex, table and the TV antenna but that is all. No need to dig out the sides to the annex as yet but the need for privacy may arise so here I am with my table and 2 chairs an eager welcoming committee.wink

Caught up with Billeeee & Jules yesterday and spent quality time with them and today we went into Millmerran on the courtesy bus, did the usual shopping thing and intended to have coffee in one place but it had an ambulance outside presumably ready to take off the customers and the owner said something unintelligable so we took off to another coffee shop.

I have been invited to dinner with Billeee & Jules who is cooking a roast and I am supposed to be there now so off I go with mouth watering.............another time where I will use a knife and fork.biggrin

Enjoyed your company John - another success in the Cobb Cooker!!! This is a great place - people everywhere - but so quiet - reckon that will change on Saturday though -

Sure does - the weather has been a bit cloudy up till today- and it is looking like it will last right through the weekend. Lots of lovely people around - friendly people in town as well - most stores are giving discounts, nice bakery with nice coffee.

Met a prospective member grandpabob who had registered some time ago and had no acknowledgement, I PMmd Cindy and all is well now with his membership.

Another quiet nice day ahead, the sun is shining and the forecast is sunny for the next few days so it looks well for the festival.

Having a conspicuous van certainly is helpful for identification first Plodnalong (Anton) at Dawson River and now Grandpabob (Bob) here at Millmerran neither knew me other than the avatar.

 Howdyeeee Wayne, Cherylle, Julie and Me r parked next to the tolets and shower, We r in a white M/home,,,,on the front is Billeees Conquest, on the back its got Alice and the Mad hatter having a chat,  we r near where U drive out,,,,,,,,,,John (Yoeleven) is here too, he has a hippy type van, if u c it , probley have a few single ladies hanging round ,He is a legend on the Forum,, with the ladies,  Hmmmm Marj,,,heheheheh ,And may i say a big Hi to another legend, C. There are over 1500 vans booked in here for the festival and I reckon that there are at least 1000 here now spread out over a huge area so I didn't expect to find an 11mtr silver motorhome easily. But wow how big is 11 mtrs my Hi Ace is 5mtrs long so I was looking for a huge vehicle and in the same lane that I am parked in I saw a huge bus with Silver Bullet printed down the side so I asked the owners if they were Wayne and Cherylle, I had found them quickly.

Lovely people to talk to, we talked for an hour or so sitting in this spacious bus on lounge seats. I had just got back to my van when Billeee & Jules visited so we all went up to see Wayne & Cherylle and we all five could sit easily with plenty of space. If all goes to plan tomorrow we may get photos up to the show us your rig forum and what a rig it is.
