Well I have made it to day seven and haven't even been tempted to stray from my idea of doing not much at all here in Lakes Entrance. I feel great, I am sleeping better than at home and have a great view looking out at the North Arm area here in down town Lakes Entrance. I must say though it is very hard watching the small hire boats and others coming and going. I might even check out if there are any boat cruises during the week or maybe even hire a little boat and just cruise around a bit myself.
I have changed a few things around inside the Avan to see if it works a little better, not that it wasn't working but there is always room for improvement I reckon, I must still have that in me from my staff management days.
I had a small problem the other day, well it was a major problem really, my E reader went into sleep mode while chatting to a fellow GN down a couple of sites away and when I tried to start reading again it wouldn't wake up, nothing I did would start it again so after being a bit p'd about it as all my books are on it (they are also in my laptop, so not all lost) I decided to take the back of, found what I think was the battery, I say think as it didn't look like a battery, it was like a soft rubbery substance in foil but anyway I pulled the plug out and re-connected it and all is fine now. Back to reading again.
The weather started out very windy and chilly until Sunday when it became very nice indeed and looks like it might keep me company until I leave.
Gypsy Rover (Chris) has continued on her journey and I wish her a safe and exciting journey.
I am leaving here on Friday and not sure where to from here although it looks like I might head to Canberra via Cooma on the Monaro Hwy. I will give "Alternative" camping my first trial run a go during that time. then maybe stay in Canberra a couple of days while waiting for my Batemans Bay travel auction stay.
Until my next lot of dribble,

Dougwe, you enjoy yourself, go down to Metung and get yourself onto a Bull Cruiser would be great for a few days cruising the Lakes, we used to camp at the Kingsway CP every year when we had our boat, some great fishing down that way, looking forward to your next load of dribble.
Mine does that sometimes but on the bottom there is a small hole which is the reset button If i push it in with a pin ( need something small ) and then side the switch to turn it back on and hold for a second or two it will reload. All my books reload. Make sure you do not get impatient and think there is something wrong as mine will take about 15 mins of so to reload. I have 580 books so I guess the time it takes depends on how many books.
Hi Dougwe, Very game person are you playing around with those things. I have an easier way for you to do that ,on the bottom of your ereader there is your switch. You hold it for afew seconds and it goes to sleep ok. Great so far, if it freezes or goes to sleep again or if you have any major probs that don't fix by turning it off and on then do the following, hold switch over for around 26 seconds, yep that's right 26 seconds, seems to take forever. Yes Do not cut it short, at least 26 seconds 40 to be sure then let button go. A few seconds later a green light will show by the switch and the e reader will reset itself with out loosing any books or info. Every now and then these things have a hissy fit Hope this helps
We went for a tourist day cruise from Lakes Entrance that stopped for a bit at Metung ... Great pub on the water there. Seems like the major industry at Metung is Real Estate Sales.
Went past Paynesville too. Made a note on the map & made sure that we had a stopover at Paynesville on a later trip.
My reader is a iRiver and doesn't have a reset button at the bottom, it is an earlier model, probably getting vintage by now but it still does the job. I tried holding the on/off slide for about 15-20 seconds but no go, maybe I should have held it across for longer, still it's working now so I will see how it goes.
