It's members like you that make this forum and meet-ups worthwhile John, and your blog is a classic and something that everybody should read, especially viewing your photo's which are magnificent.
It was a pleasure meeting you in WA John and joining you on a small portion of your trip on the west coast.
More power to you John, and like others have said here, you are an inspiration to all of us.
Sincerely,
Vic

I joined the Grey Nomad's forum in December 2010 and the first post was about my 12 month plan http://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/t39891223/my-12-month-plan/ Having committed to the plan I received help from all quarters and eventually got underway after 9 months in early August. I made the round Australia trip as planned and now am living the nomadic life with only one date to consider the 30th November on the Spirit of Tasmania. The reason for this post is to recognize the affect that the Grey Nomad Forum has had and is continuing to have on my life. I have met up with many forum members since last August and of late have been spending time with more than ever. In the last month I have spent a week with Jack Mac at his home in Gin Gin whilst my van was being fixed, then off to Biggenden to spend time with Happy Wanderer. I spent time with friends in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and went to Millmerran Camp Oven Festival with Billeee & Jules also meeting up with Grandpabob and the retirees. Then off to Coff's Harbour with Billeee & Jules to meet up with Dusty+D seperating from B & J I met up with loki in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park and on to Tamworth with him. Now am at Forbes with shadyandme (Norma) ROWDYRABBIT1 (Rod), gunnago (Heather) and Nu one (Micheal) the solo nomadic life is constantly being enhanced with these meetings and I am posting my thanks to all the forum members that is has been my pleasure to meet up with. The best is yet to come because we all are heading to Greens Lake for an anticipated huge GN get together and that will take me over to the 30th November when I will meet up with Billeeee & Jules again. It is a hard life but someone has to do it. John
Thats ok John, my pleasure. lol I couldn't have said it better myself. You and I started out about the same time buying very similiar vans. You have certainly gone a lot further than me and done a lot more than me but reading your posts are such an inspiration that I go read them all again on your blog. It is postings like yours that keep me going when I feel like giving up, thinking it might be better to get rid of Myrtle and get a car and forget about the nomading. Then I read your next place of arrival and see the photos and know I will be out there again, even if not as much as I had always hoped. But very soon. See you at Greens sometime in November, Where I will catch up with all my favourite friends and get my mojo back.
oh wow what a fantastic post, love it, please say hi to micheal (nu one for me ) we havent heard from him in ages and always wonder how hes going, also say hi to heather and rod, they get my emails cos rod always presses yes hes got them on the computer so thank you rod at least i know you are getting us loud and clear.

I can't wait for our catch up at Greens Lake - Loffty and I will be there over the four day Melbourne Cup weekend and are hoping to meet a lot of you then
Green Lake???? Where is it? Found one south of Mildura. I am leaving Longreach today after a month of volunteering here and heading to Melboune over the next 2 months so if I have found the right place on Google will hopefully see some GN's there

Greens Lake is on the Shepparton/Bendigo Road near Corrop - or Elmore - not the one south of Mildura spida - no, 474 in CAW 5.

Although I havn't met as many GN's as you the one's I have met are as friendly and nice as they are on this Forum, it's been great so far and I expect it to continue.
