G'day all, we stopped at the Edi Cutting campground on Friday, 19th Oct. We parked the van in a beautiful spot right on the banks of the King River some 10klms from Whitfield. On the Sat morning a guy rocks up with a ute towing a horsefloat full of grog, He tells us that the Moto Guzzi club of Vic were holding their annual get together that weekend some 300 peopleand a corresponding number of bikes. We debated whether to move on as we were led to believe that it may be a bit noisy. We decided to stay and we had a great two days. Tents everywhere, lots of fires, they provided portable toilets and plenty of firewood. They were respectful of our privacy around our campsite and were more than willing to include us in the festivities. It was all over by noon Sunday and the camp area was left clean and tidy.
I write this simply to say that not all bike clubs are into drugs and such and we were pleasantly surprised at the way these people conducted themselves and would happily do it all again. I hasten to say that we have no connection with the club or anyone in it and this post is just to tell members the other side of the story.
Regards,
Phil B.

the problem with bad press about bikers is just that, the press have to print something even if it's c r a p, that is why I do not read newspapers anymore, the good guys NEVER get any press coverage, well not often.
ive had experiences with bike gangs when young (teenage years and music bands etc), not all are what made out to be like on tv but you still have to keep an eye on things
There was more than a sprinkling of Ulysses guys and gals. The only time I would move on would be if there was a rock band with loud duff duff. (showing my age a bit!) Now, if it was Bill Haley or Buddy Holly.................

Wombat, Bikers don't usually get bad press. Bikies do. Big difference there. As an ex-biker whose first husband used to be a Bikie, I know what I'm talking about.
