I was just doing some research on the Holden site and discovered a new vehicle "comming soon", it is the Colorado 7, which appears to be a wagon version of the Colorado, configured with 7 seats.
The seats appear to be configured for the second and third rows to fold giving a flat floor.
It is being offered in two models LT and LTZ, both look capable, with the key differencies being Climate Control/Air Con, 18/16" mags, Leather seats, and folding mirrors on the LTZ. Appart from trim items they appear to be mechanically identical.
Where the Colorado ute has 3,500kg towing capacity, the wagon advertises 3,000kg.
I expect we will see it in dealers before xmas.
There is no indicaion yet on pricing, but would expect it woud be reasonably keen to stay in touch with its competitors, especially the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I would expect Ford to be hatching somethng simiar based on the Ranger, but the media does not appear to have mentioned it again since it was first floated as an idea by Ford at a press conference in 2010.
I have re posted this under the general forum with images and prices.

Thanks for the info but I must say that my old SsangYong Musso is a seven seater wagon and when you fold down the seat you have a queens sized bed in it or a very large rear space plus it is already rated at 3500kg towing capacitity. Now the SsangYong Rexton is one of the best tow vehicles around for caravans etc plus they are a seven seater and have tool draws already built into the rear floor area. Most people do not even look at SsangYong's as they feel they are nothing but rubbish but this is where they are wrong as SsangYong's are ALL based on Mercedes engineering and are just about bullet proof. The new Actyon is big with loads of carrying capacity and far more reliable than other makes and also far cheaper to purchase, maintaine and run. The Actyon SPR is like a hamburger with the lot - 6 speed auto, full steering wheel controls for gears/radio/bluetooth/cruise control etc, 2H/4H/4L electronic selector on dash, leather interior, electric seats, seat warmers, Sun roof, ECS, ABS, Hill descent control, load rated tailgate, plus many other features that are options on other brands.

The oldies who are the ones purchasing tugs for the larger vans probably remember the Musso from around the turn of the centurary. We had a couple in our chub. Both owners had to practically walk away from them. They were heaps, they lost out badly on them, Mercedes technology or not. Too many of us remember them.
