Bye Greens lake

A whole 2 weeks free camping - must have been the wonderful company. Amazing how time flies! Made it as far as Bendigo showgrounds today as Brandt is having trouble with his ute so waiting now to see if he needs and escort any further towards Melbourne.

Had a lovely day yesterday in Echuca - did the 1 hour river cruise, had a divine lunch at Oscars, and wandered the port shops. Fancy a riverboat holiday now. Shame about the brown water - is there clear water in any Aus riverconfuse

I use to live in Mildura as a kid and the Murray was clear then. The carp tend to muddy it up.

Cheers

The Yarra River in Melbourne is clear if you are at the bottom of it as people say it is upside down.

It's actually great to see the mighty Murray flowing at all, and the fact it's brown means it running fast enough to be clean. There are a lot of waterways contributing to the Murray and most of them are running brown as well. It's actually a good sign if you ever saw the Murray when it stopped running.
