I wish I knew the area girls to assist in decision making, but having never been there and my being a zillion kms away I am of no use to help.

After googling images of Wuruma Dam I reckon a shovel is a must for some sites to get the ole abode on an even keel.

I always carry a shovel, although I can't say I'm keen to use it. But if I have to I have to. And I have levellers. biggrin

I think I'll open a thread on the main page to see if anyone has been there.

It'll be good to meet you John, as well as whoever else may join us.

This was Yoeleven's take on Wuruma Dam, along with photos.

OK! from the general section we have worked out that: John (yeoeleven) was there in Sept 2012. He has posted large photos that show there is plenty of room and good flat ground.
No I don't have levellers Beth but don't think I will be needing them.
If you put Waruma Dam into the search at top of page you will find Johns post and photos. Looks good.
Also seems very popular with others as some have said they were there before John.

Ole-Grizzly, no different to Greens Lake in Vic. Has toilets but bring your own portaloo for convenience, empty at a town on the way back out. Also bring your own water, same as Greens. Sounds very comfortable to me.

When I type in Wuruma Dam in the search box the first one to come up is Petengail's thread. Never mind, I found it.

I suspect there will be nice green grass around too, instead of the dirt in John's photos. smile Hope we won't need a mower. confuse

I seem to have gotten myself confused now by having started the other thread. disbelief

As I said 'over there'...Boyedale was starting to worry me so I'm pleased with the positive feedback in regards to Wuruma Dam. And it's closer for me...bonus! biggrin

I have an appointment on the 19/4 so I won't get away until the 20/4. I'll probably stop somewhere north of Nanango for one night, so all going well, I'll be there on the 21/4.

See ya there!

We have now opened a new thread in Get Togethers for Wuruma Dam Meet. Please head in that direction for any more chat on the subject. Thank you.
