Left Lagoons Beach early and made Bicheno the first stop, water was needed and groceries from IGA. Had a look at the blowhole but the sea was calm and had only small blows. Lovely area around the blowhole with rocks similar to the Bay of Fires with their red tones. All up a short trip of no more than 70kms.
Had a look at Friendly Beaches Campground but decided that River and Rocks free camp Camps6 #39 would be better than spending $13 per person at the National Park camp. I put the Hi Ace across a double campground and left it there whilst we took Billeees Jayco to the Wineglass Bay Lookout Walk nominated as a 1.5 hour return walk with very steep sections.
We returned to find a tent had been erected but we still fitted in, at least they couldnt park their car in the second spot. As it happened they were friendly and had just come from where we are going so they recommended Cosy Corner North for our next stopover. There are many quiet camping spots at River & Rocks from single secluded spots to large open areas and there are more tents here than caravans and motor homes. No water or rubbish removal but there are drop toilets here.
The first pic. is overlooking Wine Glass Bay, the second our camping ground at River & Rocks followed by Bicheno and the river with the rocks.
I have no Optus coverage here but the others have Telstra so I will post later. John
