Drove the 40kms from Scottsdale to Lilydale this morning stopping off at the Woolworths in Scottsdale to top up supplies. It is a beautiful trip along peaceful winding roads between paddocks and wooded areas.

The camp site is nominated in Camps6 #1 as having showers, water and a 48hr camping availability. Things have changed apparently vandals have removed a washing machine put there for our convenience and removed the light globes, effectively stuffing it up for the rest of us travellers so now we are left with toilets free barbeque facilities in a 24 hr stopover. The water needs to be boiled for 3 minutes before drinking.

None the less it is an excellent site but small and without grassy camping areas but the walk to the falls is superb taking 5 minutes to the first falls then another 5 minutes to reach the second. There are plenty of amusement areas for children and it is a popular day area. Not much water in the falls but we were not praying for rain.     John

Fantastic John, we've all said it before, even though you don't have a professional camera, you have an eye for photography and missed your vocation I reckon, excellent shots!

Is that a Mazda coaster type van with the blue stripes on the other side of the road?

Yes Vic it is very similar to the one that I am getting, it is the Mazda E3500 but mine will be the Toyota Coaster.

Also the black sand you mentioned in another post is like Cosy Corner West in WA, good memories from there you also mentioned the very supple Korean girl sleeping on the top of her station wagon when we were there in January 2012.
