Easy Carbonara (cheats way) :)

  • 250 g dried pasta of choice (I like Fettuccine)
  • 300 ml cream
  • 1 x 35g packet French onion (salt reduced) soup
  • 4 rashers bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  1. Cook pasta according to packet directions.
  2. Strain and rinse cooked pasta under cold water to stop the cooking process and stop pasta from sticking.
  3. Whilst the pasta is draining, add the chopped bacon and onion to a frypan and fry.
  4. Add the cream and French Onion soup mix to the onion and bacon in the frypan.
  5. Stir often until sauce thickens then add cooked pasta to sauce until heated through.

I get the ones from woollies, that serve 4
Cook them in water then add the creamy sauce
Very nice, I get the low GI ones now though..
