Dunalley Pub - On the way down to Port Arthur - huge spot behind the Dunalley Pub -no water, power or shower -toilets in pub available opening hours, and porta loo in the yard other times.
Free to camp - but there is a donation box inside the pub. Can get a shower at the Neighbourhood House. Interesting bridge over the Denison Chanel - it swivels open to allow yachts and other boats through.
The town has been pretty devestated by the recent fires (2013) - 7 out of 10 houses in the main street have been burnt to the ground. The Pub owner has opened his grounds and the pub to the emergency services people, and some townspeople to camp, and had organised a fundraising concert on Australia Day - was told the place was packed and rocking!!!!!!
Good luck to them - and the town is open for business - general store, pub, fish and chips at the wharf, and a couple of other businesses - if youa re down that way help them out - go and stay, spend a bit of cash - they need it!!
