Stanley revisited

Several of us decided to go to Stanley and we met up there early afternoon and camped on Godfreys Beach, again we had a funny happy hour after which  Denise and I went to my van to watch a couple of episodes of Mrs Browns Boys. We met Denise at Lilydale and again at the Peacefest so we were old friends by now. There is a link below to my previous post with pics from that visit.

On the way I decided to look at Sisters Beach which is nominated in Camps6 as an overnight camping spot but the updates downgrade it to day only, it is a pity because it is a lovely spot with all the usual facilities.

I had planned to go to Smithton to check out a huge pile of abalone shells on the wharf on behalf of a previous contact who wanted to buy abalone so I was able to see them and find the contact's name for Bob to ring later. Who knows if he does some good with the contacts he may pass over a few bucks to help with the coaster registration. They sell them by the container load so it may be a few too many for Bob.      John

Hi John
if you had drove straight up the hill where you were looking at the ab shells you would have drove past my house (about 1km) and the another km or so you would have found a paddock of about 5 acres nealy full of them. The guy that owns it AL Hanson came outfrom america and with borrowed money ( had none of his own)is a multi millionaire, he is a really nice guy, about your age and equally as active.
cheers
