WHERE DID THAT TIME GO............

Can not believe you 2/3 are heading back in 3 weeks, have been following all your adventures, which have been great........but remember when you were talking about going to Tassie in 3 months for 5 months, like I said where did all time go.

Exactly... where did all the time go? Which is precisely the reason to get out and tour Oz while you're still able. As a bloke said to me one time, do what you can while you can.

Hi Pauline - who are you talking to?  Us?  John is heading back on Sunday and we go the following Friday - have just read the GN Times and a couple of stories of others stories on Tassy - think I might sit down and write a short piece on our trip - we have had a ball, and would recommend anyone to come over here - as we all know John has done it on a strict budget, but has had a great time nonetheless, so it is available to anyone, ok the verry cost is one thing - but - any ferry trip is pricey - $50 return to Bruny Island, all of 10 minutes on the water.  And I think the one from Sorrento in Victoria to Queenscliff is pretty pricey as well - and they don't get subsidised by the government - we were subsidised by about $795 - that's a pretty good discount for us!!!!

Yes Jules I was talking to you mob, should have made that clearer in my post but just assumed everyone would know who I was referring to, some of us may not get to see Tassie though I am hoping we will.................so it is good to see it through yours and Billeeee's very excited eyes so keep up the good work, some one has to.

Gary the time went with John cracking the ribs Jules looking after him and Billeeeee just staying excitted for 3 months.......But reading the posts from them all i do not recon they would of changed a thing. They are leaving just at the right time as boy does it get cold over there, the wind doesn't go around you over there it goes straight through you.But a beautiful place all the same, i hope the free and low costs camping spots survive over there,as if not i have my doubts on it's appeal to us from the main land .

Well guys - let me tell you - we can't believe it is almost over either. And definitely would not have changed a thing - loved every minute of our time here.
Some of the stand outs of course, were snow on Cradle Mountain, Port Arthur and the Yellow Boat Ride at Bruny Island. Have met some wonderful people, locals and travellers and will keep in touch with quite a few, hopefully.

We have just come to Deloraine (no special reason-just because we could), but will head back to East Devonport tomorrow to meet up with John and go out to dinner with him and Dennise ( a new lady we have met along the way, who is leaving on the same boat as John) - we will then amble over towards Scottsdale by Tuesday to meet up with Ozi2 - then amble back to be on the boat on Friday.

Once back on the mainland, the excitement continues, as we meet up with Victorian family and friends - including Shogun and Jimbo - then head north- see that side of the family, then decide - where is the excitement going to be next????????

Come to Tassy - you will love it, and you can stay at free camps almost all over the island - a huge saving - enough to pay for the ferry over!!!!!
