This thread is to replace the other one in Get togethers and the one in the General Forum. Change of plans, Boynedale is off the agenda.
We can now confirm Wuruma Dam is the better place to have a meet.
From where I live in Biggenden, Qld, it is 191 ks NW of here. From which ever direction you start (except coming from the north) head towards Ban Ban Springs then through Mundubbera on to Eidsvold.
Turn west 19ks north of Eidsvold toward Abercorn. 1 k dirt road.
Toilets, dogs allowed. Bring your own drinking water.
Although the date is from 15th April it will be staggered as different nomads attend to their committments before heading to Wuruma.
Am I right to assume that Boynedale is off the agenda because it's been washed away? Does anyone know how much damage was done to the free campsite there, it was a favourite of mine.

Yes thats right doglady. We understand after all the flooding we've had up here there could be a bit of slush underfoot so just in case we decided to find a new camp spot. Hope you can make.
I'm very sad to inform you all that I won't be able to join you after all.
I'm very unwell again, with a flareup of Ulcerative Colitis again, so I'm back on the dreaded Prednisone. I also have a few tests coming up in regards to the AF and Asthma.
And as if that's not enough, I will be having surgery very soon, for a skin cancer on my nose. It's a big job which will require a skin graft and plastic surgery.
So April is pretty much a right off for me. I plan to have some much needed R&R at my sisters at Tin Can Bay, maybe in May, if all goes well.
Get well soon Beth. Starting to wonder if we're putting some sort of jinx on you considering you've become ill each time I've suggested a chance to meet. We intend to be at Wuruna for the get together, unsure exactly when depending on family commitments.

I'm not trying to avoid you...really! Some day, somewhere...
I feel a lot better now that the steroids have kicked in, but still can't plan to go away untill all these upcoming appts are done with. By that time, it'll be too cold to go away. Never mind, at least I'm still here.
Shame you can't be there Beth, was looking forward to catching up, hope all goes well with you, Still the only positive note is that the only time we don't have to worry about our health is when we don't have any. I have the wedding on the weekend of the 20th and I now have my sister coming from W.A. on the 22nd so don't know if I can make it on the following weekend although will try.
Is there going to be anyone there on the first weekend of May?
I'm heading home to Biggy on Monday which gives me a week to sort the van out and refuel (food, gas etc) Should be away by the 16th for at least a week, hoping for a bit more.

True. While ever you're looking at the green side of the grass, you're a hell of a lot better off than heaps of others.
