Camping in the Deniliquin region for those who want to get away from it all for awhile, takes on two forms . For those wanting power and to access to Ablution facilities there are several c/ parks in or near town. The next optiion is to camp in one of the huge state forests that line the river in several places either side of town . To the n/w of Denny are the Morago , Werai and Banangalite state Forests.Where campers can choose their own free site amongst the trees . There are no facilities in these forests and the nearest ice is at the Pretty Pine Hotel on the Cobb Highway.To the south of town there are the Gulpa Islands and Tuppal State Forest again the camping is free.Nearest supplies are back in Denny.The big advantage of the state forests is you can choose your site right on the river.Public access to the river can be gained at several places in or near town, at any of the state forests and also at Stevens Weir on the south side of town .will we return YOU BETCHA.
We were there when the ute muster was on,What a beaut place to be at that time ,wheather you have a ute or not ,it is the best time anyone could want.The country bands they have there playing all week end is just worth going for even if you are not into utes.Everyone in Denny welcomes you with open arms.One of the most friendliest places we have stayed in.
