5th wheeler owner

We have recently converted a 5th wheeler trailer to our own design home on wheels. We would like to hear from other fifth wheeler owners to share stories.

Welcome Rd Runa, have you got any pic's you can post here of your rig?

Look forward to seeing some......Beep Beep! wink biggrin

PS:  There are some GN 5th wheeler owners who visit the forum now and then, just give them time to spot your post as some don't come on here everyday....

Hi Duh , thank you for your reply and warm welcome.

I would like to add a photo or two of our latest rig but I cannot find the "add photo" button

We started traveling around Australia in 1973 in an 18'6" caravan, since then we have travelled with a Suzuki 4x4 and small box trailer, a hi ace van converted to a camper and now our beautifully appointed fifth wheeler.

I am about to turn 60 and want to be a 'not so' grey nomad

My husband was working full time and working every waking minute converting the trailer to our magnificent home on wheels to reach a dead line for our maiden trip to Alice springs.

A newbie to this site but experienced in the travel department.

 Hi again Runa, when you click on make a post or reply under the blank field that comes up you will see "Attach File".

When you tick that, a field comes up under the blank posting box and then follow the instructions here I put for you on another thread, read that carefully and see how you go;

"Hi Rd Runa, assuming you have saved the pics to "my pics" in your documents etc, reduce them in size beforehand using open with paint or other programs, then save them to your pc pictures at that size. I usually reduce mine to 30%. If you don't want to lose the original size in your pc pictures, then make a copy there (right click on the pic and use "copy" then put your cursor alongside the other pic, right click and paste) and use the copy to reduce in size and save. We are still in your pc pictures, haven't gone to GN yet.

Open a post on GN as though you are going to make a post, and write what you want to in the field as you have done here. At the bottom of the field you will see "Attach File(s), put a tick in that and it opens an upload field below the post you are making.

Click on Browse on the first line and it will take you to the place on your pc where you have your pic's stored. Highlight the one you want and click open, that will take the pic to the first line of our Browse Option. Do the same on the next browse lines for each pic you wish to add.

When you have the ones on the browse lines you wish to post, then go to the bottom of the browse field and click on "Upload Files", the field will turn a grey colour and start uploading, when it has finished the field will become white again.

Then go to the far right of the upload field and you will see "Submit Post" . Hopefully that should then put your post and pictures onto the forum......see how you go, if you get stuck don't be afraid to post again or pm me if you like. Good Luck, Vic"
