Hi all as I sit here in chilly Canberra at the end of nearly three months on the road, and before I get home to the South Coast, I will now attempt in downloading from my log a few good free camp spots from our journey. Some you may be aware of or have used but never less here is the 1st one. Stubby Bend Camp area Tambo Qld have to be self sufficient but you are only 2k's from town where you can get water or top up before you stay there. It is on the road heading to the show ground. Bins and cement table and chair provided. Will add other as time allows enjoy
We stayed at Stubby Bend a few days ago. We are self contained so it suited us, we only stayed the one night but would have been happy to stay more if we had the time. In our opinion not advisable to stay there when it rains though. Possums, kangaroos and wild goats around the site but not many birds during our visit.
