Where to put them in the caravan?? Today I put a stainless rod in the toilet above the loo...goes across from one wall to the other. I then hung one of those hanging shoe holders that you can buy at $2 shops or Aldi. Also hung another towel rail in the bathroom!!!
Also bought a similar cloth clothes shelf hanger and put that in the wardrobe. Apparently hanging space is a waste of space. Building wooden shelves in far too much effort. Seems this will do the trick.

We have turned our wardrobe into drawer space with wire baskets tied together with cable ties, five of them fit nicely and give a lot more practical room.
Our loo and shower are in the same cubicle, so anything in there has to be moved out when we shower, we use a small "occy" strap hanging on the tap handle of the shower to hold the toilet roll - easy to take out when we need to.
I also purchased a small rectangular bin, and put my shoes in that in a cupboard, keeps them tidy and out of the way.

Hanging things tend to swing about a bit when you are travelling, so shoes get shoved into the bottom of the cupboard beside the bed. We don't bring good shoes, just clogs, sneakers, bushwalking shoes, and comfy slippers. I took a pair of dressy sandals all the way round Australia and wore them once!
Because my van is so small, space is at a premium. My wardrobe is a work in progress.
In the bottom, one half is wheel arch which makes it a bit tricky. But on the other half I store my bottles of mineral water/soda water whatever. They stack in tightly, and I put toilet rolls in between or sitting over the neck for protection. There's a small electric fan. On top of these is a plastic box that I use for dirty clothes, my medications bag, and a shoe bag..just an Aldi shopping bag. Some time ago, a friend gave me a hand made shoe saver..it looks like a babies pair of pants and fits one shoe in each 'leg'. I use this to protect any nicer shoes I might take. EG: this time some nice court shoes for the funeral. Also in this Aldi bag is a pair of warm slippers, and a pair of walking shoes. Note to self: burrs stick to certain types of walking shoes. Get some elastic side boots!
Anyway, all this stacks on one side of the wardrobe and leaves on small section free to hang a couple of things. EG: outfit for the funeral. I think eventually, I might get bil to put shelves down that one side of the wardrobe.
Having only a small Coromol camper van, our storage allowance for personal stuff has been decided and is not negotiable. We have 3 smallish flexible plastic tubs one each for clothes and shoes and one for towels and spare thermal blankets and sheets, tea towels, etc. We have no cupboard space as this is taken up with food, cooking and eating stuff and essential bits and pieces. Whilst traveling everything not in cupboards, under seats or in the tug, is positioned according to weight on the floor and benches in the camper. Not sure how long it will take before we decide to upscale to something larger and that you don't have to be a mountain climber to get into or make the beds. Until that time, the only way i will be able to take more shoes or clothes, is to layer them!

As long as it's not like our friends leaving their step behind. It would have to be a very good check around the van before leaving otherwise your favourite shoes will be left behind. (I guess it would only happen once! )

Our shoes go in the cupboard between the beds. However, as we tend to use the same shoes, we have tried a tip I learned on this forum. We have a plastic box with a lid big enough for a couple of pairs of shoes, which lives by the step outside the door. The shoes get kicked off into this as we enter (keeps mud and burrs out of the van). If its raining, the lid goes on and keeps the rain off. Overnight the lid keeps "creatures" and " critters" out. When we are leaving, the lid goes on and they travel on the floor till the next place.

I have 2 of those hanging shoe tidies in my ensuite - one has undies and shoes in it - 4 pairs of better shoes, my runners and serious bush walking shoes live in waterproof bags in under the dinette. The other shoe hanger holds light t shirts and bits and pieces I need to access easily. Easily lifted out when I want to shower!

We just put our shoes into a plastic tub and leave it under the annex , if some bugger wants to pinch a few pair of thongs /some sand shoes and work boots ,well they must need them more than me.
