As people are aware, death is followed by a plethora of costs, one of which is probate. However, many people are unaware that they don't need to engage a solicitor. Applying for probate is a surprisingly straightforward procedure and can be completed over the Internet. I engaged a JP at the office of...

Hi. We currently have a 2012 Millard Longreach van but I am thinking of switching to motorhome. I like what I have seen of the Winnebago Alpine 2855 - year model 2001-2008. Does anyone have documentation (floor plans, wiring diagram, plumbing diagrams, etc) they are willing to share?

Do not buy the Engalon Brand of TVs with DVD players. They make a noise every 10-15min in standby mode. The manufactures say it's not a problem. It keeps you awake at night. Bad company to deal with.

Ok, blokes probably dont know this, wives and partners probably do. I split my thumb nail pulling down knots, pain and blood. A dob of superglue on the split, press it together with a narrow edge, let it cure and file off the jagged edges. No pain, it doesnt catch.

Dried-out tea bags dipped in kerosene are another safe way to start a fire. Better than pouring kero and standing clear of the flame whish. Could have been listed previously. Cheers Jay&Dee

I have just had to replace a second hinge on my Access Hatch Cover. The first one happened in Broome while on my latest trip, and I had to make do with what tools I had available. This latest one I saw at home, which gave me an easier job I will explain below. Refer also to the photos. The hinges, Coast part nu...

I have very limited space in the car for batteries, two of the three 26ah batteries shoehorned under the seat, so I did some tests on the 28L Waeco going in the car so it would use the least amount of power possible. 28L is the largest fridge I could fit without taking over. I heated a bedroom in the house for...

Hi everyone, I just tried to raise the roof on my new (Chinese made) slide on camper, for the first time. I don't have the strength. I'm 64 years old, 5'10" tall, mild build male, and I could not budge it (and yes the corner clips have been released). Could be that its sticky as its not been raised since mad...

I'm sure many of you have fitted water filtration systems to your caravan. I live in my caravan and I am looking for an ECONOMICAL water filtration system. Please tell me about your system, or the system you would recommend.

The cyclone weather earlier this year in the Cairns area has caused much water damage to my Jayco Starcraft. It is not insured. I need to repair the floor in the toilet area and think that the best way of doing this is to open the rear end of the caravan to remove everything up to the fridge. That way I'd be...
