I have developed a leak in my suburban hot water service and it looks like it is terminal, and only 18 months old
Had a call to the warranty guy at coast to coast and he is arranging for a new heater to be sent out as long as I get it installed, cannot ask for any better service than that.
Got the unit on Friday and installed yesterday in the rain Was easy to fit and working just fine Bottom of the old one was rusty on the bottom so must have had a small leak for a while Very happy with service Ken
they should not get a hole in them if you replace the anode as it needs doing, the newer ones do not have an anode, the inside is ceramic or so I have been told.
The anode in the old unit was 18 months old and still 80% so ok in that department The new unit still has an anode and supposedly a ceramic liner, so don't really know what the anode is for, maybe the brass fittings going into the tank may cause corrosion ?? Ken
