Where to camp during Brisbane caravan show?

I'm having trouble finding a Brisbane camp spot as my trip clashes with the caravan & RV show on 5-11 June & it seems all the caravan parks are booked out.

I need to camp Thurs evening somewhere close to south Brisbane as I'm having a bullbar fitted to my motorhome early on Friday morning near Logan & then I was planning to stay near Brisbane on Fri & Sat evenings, but it doesn't need to be in the same area.

If I can't find a suitable caravan park, I'll have to free camp - any suggestions?

Montague Road, West End - runs along the river - lots of people park there.

Thanks for the welcome Neil & Ruth

I should introduce myself. My wife & I purchased a new Iveco Daily Sunliner motorhome a few months ago, but due to a number of personal issues didn't get to use for the first two months.

Our maiden voyage was from Coffs Harbour (home) to Casino, Tenterfield & Moree, then south to Gunnadah, Mudgee, Hills End, Glen Davis then Richmond to visit family.

Returning home via Bathurst, Orange, Gulgong, Gunnadah, Tamworth & Armidale.

The trip took almost three weeks & we enjoyed every minute. It felt like we were away for three months. Love the lifestyle of stopping wherever & we found we often only travelled 150-200km per day plus spent an extra night in places we liked.

I'm getting a few modifications fitted eg bullbar, airbags, rear carry rack & generator fitted in the next few weeks & can't wait to hit the road again searching for warmer weather. It's a tough life but someone has to do it!
