Only another week.

Well the results are in for all my tests.

The skin cancer was identified and removed, that is the good news the not so good news is that the doctor wants to see me in a week to remove the sutures so another week in paradise. I am still at Stott's Reserve moving in and out to ensure no continuity.

All the other tests were discussed and my cognitive responses were 100%, blood pressure still excellent as was the ECG but the bone density testing revealed that some boosting is required and vitamin D plus calcium as well as a prescription was prescribed. The cholesteral is still under par not surprising since I have been off my medication for 9 months and taking fish oil capsules together with lots of honey.

I will do as this new doctor advises and resume the cholesteral medication and I asked him about exercise to combat the bone density problem showing him the 5BX exercise program that I started off when I set off on my journeys and abandoned after a few months. My travelling lifestyle being in a different place each day was not conducive to setting up and excercising but now a more relaxed attitude with more time in each camp suggests a better opportunity as well as with more incentive to excercise.

I have now replaced the table and whistling kettle stolen at Forbes and also bought a Jackaroo Camp Kitchen set up. I have lashed out and replaced the antenna sold on eBay, the State of Origin on tonight might have had something to do with that purchase.    John

Glad things are going well so far John.   My Dr. had me on Protos for the Bone thing, but it was a pain, so I'm now on a once a month Pill.     The name is Actenol, if you want to check it out.

Much more convenient to take a pill, than have to mix the powder every day.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Sounds like things aren't too bad for you & what isn't great can be corrected. I had a bone density test this week & results were normal, so that's good for this old chook. Hope your travels get underway soon. Regards Alice

You are blessed, John, with such good health. The odd problem is inevitable and you are showing good sense in getting checked regularly. Many good miles in you yet, old son!

According to my Doctor having oats for breakfast everyday can help keep your cholesterol under control. I do overnight oats, that is a jar with half a cup of oats, some dried fruit, walnuts, almonds flakes, honey, berries  ( I use frozen) fill up with milk, pop  in the fridge overnight and eat it all straight from the jar for breakfast. Very tasty and doing you the world of good. Or you could just make porridge.....

My sister in law was a lady who loved biscuits, cakes etc. UNTIL her doctor told her that her cholesterol was way too high! She started having porridge every morning, and it came down quite a long way, still has it, but is also taking a low dose medication for it, and now under control.

I love my porridge!
