Boonah Showgrounds

Had the doctors appointment this morning to remove the sutures and all is well with the procedure.

Then a thorough inspection of the rest of my body for further evidence of skin cancer revealed a small spot that required another biopsy but this time I requested that they contact me if there was a problem and I would decide how to get the treatment. Not prepared to wait out another couple of weeks as previously.

Decided to go to Boonah Showgrounds Camps6 #784 to meet up with Billeee and Jules as a start to my northward journey. We had plenty to talk about as usual about happenings since March in Frankston. The facilities are good here with hot showers, flushing toilets and all the usual comforts that I have become used to doing without. $8 per night for an unpowered site is reasonable with all the benefits available.

Raining solidly and not had the chance to take photos but hopefully can remedy that tomorrow morning. I really want to set up camp for a couple of days to use the kitchen setting, table and all the stuff that goes under the awning but it will have to wait until I find a suitable free camp. Did set up the TV and got many channels but was too busy talking to watch it. John

Hello John good to hear your back on the road once again, I would do the same as you have requested re getting them to contact if any further treatment is required ,as there is so many places in QLD that remove skin cancers there is one in Gladstone, Rocky and I think all the major towns up to Cairns. Just remember to SLIP/ SLOP/ SLAP,from now on .

Kaid - we go through Jimboomba often - my daughter lives in Kalbar (near Boonah) and we come here when we are in Brisbane - usually stay at Kalbar showgrounds ($90 week), but they have their show this weekend.  Won't be going up your way this visit, but you never know - will contact you if we are heading that way.

Always good to meet another GN!
