Kumbia between Dalby and Kingaroy

Have had a good time at Bowenville intending to stay 2 nights and stayed 6 but set off this Tuesday morning heading for Kumbia Apex Park Camps6 #566. This is a fine stopover limited to 2 nights and with $2 showers and an honesty box for power. Excellent amenities block with power sockets to use, no fresh water was the only drawback, you need to be there early to get a spot with power, I was there by mid day and would have had a powered site if I had wanted one but the sun had charged one bank and the drive had topped up the other so I was sweet.

Met up with Marj who arrived just after me and grabbed a powered site to heat up her van with an oil heater. I had set off with an oil heater but sold it at Port Augusta along with other items not being used, could have done with it the last few nights.             John

great photo of you two, if you are on power I find the little mini fan heaters from Reject Shop are great for heating a small space like a van, presently in our 21 foot van the temp in Echuca is 24 degrees, can't complain.

It was 24 degrees in my van with the mini fan heater going Marj, nowhere near it outside so keep your winter woollies close by.

The bus came with plenty of 240 volt items including 2 small heaters but I left them all at Frankston, even though there is inexpensive power here I try to avoid using it. Am envious of your 24 degrees though!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to buy a DIY solar kit today and install it up in Gin Gin with Jack Mac's help and boost the 120 watt already installed.

John

Looking forward to those warm temps in Echuca Pauline and to meeting you.
John has just left on his happy journey, I am still curled up in my warm bed, too cold out there for me yet.

Hi John,
If you get the chance to go to Bunya NP, it is well worthwhile - the road is narrow and winding tho so check across the road (Kumbia Police) to see if you could get your vehicle in. There is a good campsite at the southern end.

Yes, my next stop was Alexandra Bridge and from there to Conto Beach, Potters Campsite and tomorrow I'll be in Perth.

Glad to hear you are traveling well!

Cheers,
Anton

John would you mind popping that photo of us up on Facebook and tagging me. Only having my phone at the moment I'm not able to do it myself. Thanks
