Mallacoota Foreshore CP

Drove through the Foreshore CP at Mallacoota today. Over 500 sites - a lot only camping. 6 amenities blocks. Can't imagine what it would be like when it is peak season. Road into Mallacoota we found very windy and not well signed for bends.

Have been there when it was fairly busy, but still plenty of room Ruth.

We spent 2 months there after Easter, the powered sites in the top area and the lower area around the bakery were almost full. The Park has new Caretakers who are really welcoming. There were many travellers with large rigs who had trouble fitting on small sites and/or levelling their rigs. We've booked again for 2 months from 1 Feb 2014. So cheap at present, after 1st May $14 p/n for an unpowered site.

Welcome to the forum from us too hanoman. Thanks for your input on Mallacoota. Did you stay at an unpowered site?

Yes we stayed in an unpowered site near Captains Point, we'll be back there for a couple of months from 1 Feb 2014. Not many places where you can leave a boat in the water adjacent to camp.

We used to stay there over Christmas for 2 weeks and it was chocka block but well managed.

The facilities are best used at night.

Back then it was pet friendly and we always had 4 legged visitors, a wonderful park.
