Broome!

My daughter joined me in Perth where she also caught up with her cousins.  It was a pretty hectic time and I am sorry to have missed Wombat: Vic (Duh) sent me his email along with other GN's in the area and I tried contacting them but must have failed on Wombats - sorry Wombat, it would have been great to meet up.  Anyway, met Gypsy Rover, John & Irona and of course, Vic.

My daughter quickly revised my schedule, adding New Norcia and Exmouth as well as Karijini!  With two drivers, the time we saved by not having to rest, we could visit the Mission, swim with whale sharks, run up and down gorges and any other exciting thing that crossed our path (the best one was the ice cream kiosk at Exmouth!).

After dropping her off at Parabardoo Airport I continued on, spent a couple of nites at Indee Station and am now at Broome, lucky enough to catch the Stairway to the Moon last nite; tomorrow I travel to Derby, where I'll meet up with friends and see if I can get a flight over the Kimbrly's.

all going well, may all other travelers be going well also!

 Glad you're in the warm weather at last Anton, freezing down here in Perth.   If you get the chance when in Derby, drive out to Windjana Gorge (ranger camp) and onto Tunnel Creek, then proceed from there back onto the Highway via Tunnel Creek and onto Fitzroy Crossing.  Pick up some info from the Info centre at Derby.   Carol's nephew is a school teacher there. See;

Make sure you do Geike Gorge while in Fitzroy (info at tourist centre), 18kms north of Fitzroy on bitumen road....different from any other Gorge....

Biggles! I thought you'd been cancelled!

Hi Jonathan,
Yes, all goes well and I hope all is well with you also. I'll be at my son's in Brisbane in September, then travel to Tassie in January.
