Can't stand plastic glasses so came up with a way to carry the glass wine glasses!
the hooks are those that are used to hold a door back against the wall. Just used the 'u' shaped bit and threw away the long end that attaches to the door!
oh...I did this when I had a yacht many years ago... The glasses don't move!! :)
I can't stand plastic glasses either, so I bought a stainless steel wine glass at an op shop. Like the old pewter ones but no polishing necessary with stainless steel.
And no worries about it breaking.

Now I like that idea Beth54, like a medieval chalice perhaps. Yep can see me with one of those, would just need a wench to serve!! OP shop here I come........

The proper stainless steel ones are hard to find. I just popped into an op shop wherever I went. Patience pays off. Don't know where you'd find a serving whench though.
slightly off topic, but the double walled stainless insulated coffee mugs make great beer mugs too and keep the beer colder longer. If you use it for beer though, never use it for coffee and don't wash it in detergent.

Mr D used to turn wood on a lathe, and before we sold it off, before hitting the road, he turned wooden goblets. I have 4 x wine woods and 4 x whiskey woods. They are finished with a high gloss varnish - beautiful to drink from, don't break, chip or leak, no taste of wood or varnish. Our coffee cups are the ones that Sheba mentioned.

I have a large wooden goblet that belonged to Mum, but was never used. I carry it in the van, but someone told me I shouldn't use it, can't remember the reason. I think I'll keep using it. It's about twice the size of the stainless steel goblet so maybe I'll use it when I'm REAL thirsty!
Buffy, Thanks for sharing that! we were going to do something but couldn't figure out where it would fit. Looking at yours, is that in the open under a shelf? That might work for me!

Gooba.......I have mounted it on the wall divider between kitchen and bed. It is above and to the side of the cook top. Was actually really easy to make. Make sure you get a piece of wood that is thick enough for the depth of the glasses when hung. I took my glass with me to Bunnings to get the wood and measured how much room 4 glasses would take up across the wood and added some more to allow a space between each glass. The nice man at Bunnings cut the wood for me!
