Patterns to be given away

I have spent the last weekend making the heartbreaking decision to get rid of my knitting / crochet patterns and leaflets. Some I have had since the 60's, 70's 80's up to 2007 when my Gdaughter was born.  Some were my mothers which I inherited.  So, I still have them and probably have a pattern for just about everything. Classics from baby to adult, socks, mittens, caps, baby sets, you name it I am sure I would have it.  If anyone is looking for a pattern I am happy to help out either by sending, or scanning and sending a pdf file.  They will eventually go to an Op shop or community group. I live in Melbourne.

Barina, make sure before you dispose of any of these, that you scan them for copies for yourself.  That way, you still have links to your grand daughter as a baby, and links to your mother.

I know how you feel.
I got mum's when she died, and they included some of Gran's as well.
I gave some to a craft cousin and still have the rest. In reality, I rarely use them as I get most of my patterns from the internet.

Why scan them? If the computer dies she's lost them. Unless you scan them onto a disc. But it might be better just to keep a few as an heirloom memento.

All my scanned documents are archived also onto a disc as well as an external hard drive.  When you are living in a van full time, even the few heirloom mementos add up.  You still have to store them safely somewhere.  I just had an issue with too much moisture in the van, almost everything has mould on it, including my envelopes, so if I had heirloom mementos,  they also would have been affected.

I have to ask have you tried to donate them to a Craft Group..

Mum, is a member of spinning and weave group Based out of Mcclelland Drive Studio Park.

Mum is an avid spinner/weaver/knitter..

Just thought I would find out what is happening to the pattern's..
