We have finally conceded that we would never find the leak in the front window and fix the leaking roof permanently in our old Viscount dubbed the Iti-Whare, so have decided to trade it in on a new one.
Over the months we have had a lot short trips away in it, we found it comfortable and we enjoyed our time, but were unable to keep it water proof so that took the fun out of it all. It did however wet our appetites for the RV lifestyle and teach us how much fun we could have and the great people we would meet so we have taken the plunge and now are the proud owners of a Kingdom Kennsington.
We are doing a test run over night this weekend to learn how to use all the extras that the old one never had, then next week we are off on our first adventure to Port Lincoln (SA), we hope to try free camping while over there. Our tug is a " work in progress " 1976 F100 which will transport our bikes and generator. Hoping to meet up with some fellow Nomads.
Don't get me started on F'ers ( F 100s ),Love'em.
Had a few in the past.
When it came time to seriously look for our tug it was the usual story.
The ones I could afford I didn't want and the ones I wanted I couldn't afford.
Life is full of compromises. In saying that we're very happy with what we now have.
Oh, and love the yellow too.

It still needs a bit of work but enjoy owning my yellow effy. A question for you being an Effy enthusiast, do you happen to know the towing capacity of 1976 model. We have had so many conflicting answers.
Love your effy, we still have our Viscount, we took her over some dirt road and she leaked after that but have since fixed it. Got some kind of paint (black stuff) and went over the joins. Fixed it no probs. Happy traveling. Love your ItI whare

We loved our old Viscount it was comfortable and really did have all we needed but each time we took it out (just on short weekenders )something else broke and we completely resealed the roof and took out window and resealed twice but still could not fix the leaks, so decided to bite the bullet and buy "the one" that will do us for all our days. We still cant believe how lucky we are and still trying to work out all the bells and whistles Lol!! We took it for a test drive to a small town near Adelaide last weekend and next weekend we are off to Cowell / Port Lincoln SA so looking forward to our first real holiday in years and will definately be a learning experience as we still have our caravaners L plates.
