This morning decided to have brekky in Miss Daisy, turned the toaster and kettle on at the same time. Oops no power. Looked at the converter, the red light was on so figured that was all OK. Came back into MD and started switching things in the powerboard. Still nothing. Ok, now lets go back to step one, ohhh lookie there, the master switch was off on the converter, durrrr, now that was back on I had to figure out if the switches that I had been playing with were actually on or off. Finally got it all figured out and all working again, and took it one appliance at a time to have toast and tea.
A classic case of over thinking the obvious by somebody who knows very little about that sort of thing, but is learning very quickly. Gotta love my new life and learning about things that I never thought I would have to know about or deal with. Actually half of it I did not really know even existed.
I think this might be called growing up. Bugger.

You will get used to it, I have none of those problems having systematically got rid of 240 volt appliances.
Very simple is my life without 240 volt requirement but then without some conveniences, if I want toast I have to use the griller on the gas cooker so rarely do I have toast.
Keep it up Sharon and hope to catch up with you at Green's, John
