Geen/Grey Nomad

Hi all, new to the forum, although have been on a "shake down" trip in the old Coaster, Perth to Melbourne, up to Yarrawonga camping on the Murray, then through NSW and back to Perth. After a week, headed up to Karratha to see my son, and now back in Perth. Plan is now to head off to nowhere in particular, (but east of here), just see where I end up.

Have been following yeoeleven's travels and he has inspired me to keep going. Hope to meet up with some of you over the coming months.

Welcome to the forum allforit

Perhaps you could head for Greens Lake and meet up with a few of us there.

Thanks John, I had read all the posts on greens, seems like a great idea. I actually grew up right about where you are now, Yarrawonga. Still have family there, the brother in law and his sons have the large market garden on the Cobram/Yarra rd, river side, can't miss it. Hope to catch a few of you at Greens.

Cheers
John

Thanks Triple, must have been a hangover from my motorcyle days, did the big lap twice, and back and forth to the east coast more than 6 times, mostly from Karratha, on several types and brands of motorcycles.

Cheers

John

Gary, I don't think it matters how far or how long the first shakedown is, most of the learning comes in the first couple of days, thats when you realise you brought too much along, and what you should have brought but didn't. After my first few days I had a pretty good idea of what I needed.

Cheers

Please where is Greens, we will be back on the road next year, and it sounds like a place to head to.

we just love our nomad lifestyle ,just had 18months away and can't wait to get going again.

First we are going to buy a full ensuite van, then sell our house, buy a small unit, then we hope to take off ,and have lots of fun again, there is no better life.

GET OUT THERE AND ENJOY.

The details are in the camps books but Greens is situated between Shepparton and Elmore in Victoria and well signed on the Midland Highway.   John
