Hi every one. I've just bought a coaster and was wondering if any one could give me some advise on whether there are any free camp site in the Dungog, Patterson area for a shake down trip of about five nights. I lost my wife six months ago so I'll be doing on my own. Any help would be appreciated. Shero

What about Broke? There's a free camp there. Haven't stayed there myself on account of I have a friend in Broke and I park in her driveway but it looks nice.

Sorry to hear of your loss shero. What about checking in the 'camping bible" or the free camps book. Your local tourist info centre - they have maps of the areas. Even good old google may help.

There is a great free camp at Bretti Nature Reserve (or camp ground) about 30 k's past Gloucester. -(Bretti Nature Reserve, Baxters Ridge, New South Wales in google maps). Max stay 1 month, easy access, drop toilet, non potable tank water, river.
