Left Lake Ratzcastle this morning thinking that I would free camp at Harrow. Seemed like it suited me by the Glenelg River, and I know the town is a quaint little village. Set course up the back roads for something a little different and once there decided that it was not for me after all, so continued to Balmoral. Did not like that either, seen a sign to Rocklands Reservoir and thought, water that is what I want to be near and set sail for said Reservoir.
It is about 20kms from Balmoral, out a country road, nice drive and once arrived, I was not sure. Met by the manager, a funny little man called Stephen, $25 per night for a powered site, full ablution block that I had been assured was clean so thought why not. Have booked in for two nights, and it is lovely. The ablution block, hmmm, well there is clean there is clean, still not too bad all things considered I guess. The sites are large and in a nice settings. It has a good feel about it all and there are plenty of walks to be had down by the Reservoir and up into the bush. Something the last place was short of. So all set up here, and been for a walk. Looking forward to exploring more tomorrow.
