Wanderings of mh2Abreast

smile Hi everyone ... we are new members.  Geoff and I (Maz) have been travelling in our 28ft Jayco Optimum motorhome since May this year.  We have no home base, the road is it.  Before taking to the road in the 'land yacht' we sailed the seas for 8 years in our 10 metre catamaran 2Abreast.  Alas, we lost her in the Bundaberg floods in January this year when ex tropical cyclone Oswald stalled over Bundaberg and wrecked a lot of lives.  But life goes on and here we are still enjoying the freedom this life gives us, the people we meet and still living life to the full.  ...   Maz

 Welcome, Maz and Geoff,

I know what its like to lose a boat,

I was in Bundy in 2011 just after the Cyclone went thru, They lost 110 Boats in the Burnett river, Dragged under by the Hyacinth coming down with the floods, and wrapping around the anchor chain,

I was sitting on the Bundy Docks for a week while i repaired my drive Train, The damage there was horrendous,

My boat is being repaired,  So I will be sailing again, soon,

It also got me my land Yacht from the insurance from the Boat,

Cheers,

Brian,

SV, Tere Hau Nui,
