Hope to be travelling soon

Hi all, I've just joined the site and am loving all the wonderful comments and info.  My name is Lynne, I'm still working but would love to retire and join you all on the road.  I'm terrified at the thought of giving up work though!  However, have been looking at motorhomes and vans and am extremely thankful for all the great tips contained on this site.  I'll be a solo traveller and still can't decide between a motorhome or van so thanks for all the information posted here.  Hopefully we'll meet up somewhere on the road soon.

Welcome to the gang Lynne, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Don't be terrified about retiring, I retired September 2012 and don't regret it for one minute, far from terrifying and I tell you that for free.

And welcome from us too Lynnek. I'm sure it won't be as terrifying when you actually do it. Keep watching this forum and asking questions and it'll work out.

Welcome Lynne,

Retirement is easy, Just make sure you have enough money to keep you going,

Car and Van, Versus Motor home, They work out about the same prices,

I went RV because I dont like caravans, Personal preference only,

I lived in a 30 foot caravan for 4 years, Full time, I didnt like it,

It had every thing, So its just me, that didnt fit the Van,

Hi again,  Thanks so much for your welcomes and advice.  Great to hear from you all.  I'm checking out motor homes which I think will be the right choice for me and also doing my financial sums.  Would love to know, Mr B2, how much is 'enough'?  biggrin    Met a lovely lady last week who has been on the road for 16 years.  She was truly inspiring and made me even more determined to get there soon.  Merry Christmas to you all and safe travelling.
