I am staying at the Esk Caravan Park in Qld. Some permanents here but the quality of the vans and housing is up there. A small heated pool with two change rooms /toilets/showers of a standard I have at home. The rest of the place is good to great and there is a social area with two Pizza ovens and a full kitchen all stainless steel and kept in a really clean condition. Undercover seating and tables. Probably seats thirty plus.TV with DVD player. All well kept and the amenities block is a little older but again a good standard and kept clean.
Walk to the local shops with a few good cafes and a few other eateries. Thai, Indian and local organic food store and an IGA type store for the basics. Library with computers and internet.
All in all a nice quiet place to stay with good day trip destinations around.
Would recommend to anyone as a nice place to stop. We have decided to say here till after Xmas and just visit family in Brisbane.
After reading your report we have decided to stay at Esk as we have the grandchildren for 5 days over Christmas. The pool was important as they both love swimming and apparently their is a park 100 Metres from the CP.
Last year we stayed at Lake Dyer in Laidley which the kids loved. Then back to free camping.
