Ashes Test. Can we make it 5 in a row.

Well as I say, can we make it 5 in a row in the test series against the POMS.

Boxing Day tests is about even after day 2.

What a great result it would be to take it out 5 nil.

But at the end of the day as long as it is a great game in 4 and 5, who cares, as we have the Ashes in our keeping.

But 5 would be nice.

Ibbo, I think its you that needs the reality check. In the 130 years since 1883, Australia have held the Ashes for approximately 76.5 years, and England for 53.5 years. Australians have made 264 centuries in Ashes Tests, of which 23 have been scores over 200, while Englishmen have scored 212 centuries, of which 10 have been over 200. Australians have taken 10 wickets in a match on 41 occasions, Englishmen 38 times.

The Ashes have returned to their natural home and the balance of the universe has been restored clap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Gday...

Perhaps the old saying Pride cometh before the fall may apply to the 4th and perhaps even the 5th test

cheers - John

We won the ashes at the second bite at the cherry. We lost it to England and now a few months later saying we won it. Like having 2 soccer or rugby World Cups not every 3 years but every few months to give the loses a 2nd chance..

Where are all the "nooo ausies won't win the 4th Test" spruiukers now?

All over before tea on Day 4.

What a thrashing...ha ha

Poms will fly home direct to Glasgow then hire a couple mini-busses to sneak home I reckon.
