I am camped up at Dartmoor again for the weekend, having to go back into Mount Gambier tomorrow to sign some papers, and then I have no idea in which direction to head. This really is the first time since I hit the road 3 months ago that I have no direction to go, nowhere that I really have to be, and the decision is completely mine. A funny feeling, one of freedom, a little daunting, and fun all at the one time.
I think I might head north towards the Murray, take the scenic route and see where the road takes me. Life certainly is an adventure, and now it is up to me completely until I meet up with friends in late February, to head across to the West. Well that is the plan for now, however that could also change, who knows.
All I know is that I am very grateful and privileged to have the freedom and opportunity to live this wonderful lifestyle.
Have fun everyone and take the time to smell the air, the roses, or whatever takes your fancy. Don't sweat the small stuff and remember it really is all small stuff. I know that is a quote from all "those" books but it really does stand to reason if you think about it.
That is what this life is all about Sharon - smelling the roses, following whatever road you choose, having no real plan, just a vague idea of somewhere, sometime!!!! Nothing set in concrete!!
Enjoy your journey!!!

There are some beautiful little country towns around Victoria Sharon. You could go around in ever widening circles for the next couple of months.
I'm heading towards the Nhill area and beyond after I get some repairs done in Echuca this week.
Go for it Sharon.
Go to bed each night with a clear head and then after breakfast decide IF and then WHERE you will go for the day.
Always remember if you are happy where you are and have supplies why move.
Regards
Brian

Hi Sharon, when I first started out , I had the same feeling ,!!And!!, I think most Solo"s as I was, have felt the same , the feeling of ,,,!!What!!, do I do now...Jonathan said to me when I first started out , let it (life style) take you , it will soon make sense, and the unknown ,will turn into a great life .......very hard to explain ,,but Jonathan was right, unknown is a bit frightening, till it becomes known,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, see you out there some where in the play ground,,,,,,,,,, Billeeeeeee
Billeeeeee I think that you and Jonothan are right on the money. I flipped a coin, consulted Wikkicamps, and headed to Naracoorte. I am at a place called Black C...atoo Bush Camp and it is just lovely. As the name suggests it is a bush camp but with excellent amenities, and only $8pn. I will stay here a couple of days, go for the bush walk and just sit back and contemplate life a little and then I have worked out where I am heading next. This of course depends on the weather as if it becomes really hot then I will turn left instead of right.
Hope you and Jules are having fun fun fun.

I am fun and adventure. So much to see, so much to do, so many people to meet. Will see, do, and meet all that I can.
Wish I could get over that last hurdle and not have any real direction. Certainly beats being stuck in the directionless daily grind of work that most of us get trapped into.
Great spot that ****atoo bush camp have stopped there a couple of times.
look forward to catching up on the road sometime when we finally find the guts and direction to become directionless.

Mike - it will all come right for you - sometimes patience is needed - but it is indeed a lovely life out here, with no real commitments or timetable - but it all takes a while to get it together. Make a "finish" time, and work to it!
Sharon - enjoy your bushwalk and your contemplation of your navel - oooooohhhhhhhhmmmmmm!

I think there are so many out of the way off the beaten track places through Victoria and SA, for myself I am off up to Tamworth, heading off on Saturday and then when I get back I will probably spend the rest of 2014 wandering VIC/SA in between a few house sits hopefully....
Perhaps I will get to meet a few of you on the road along the way?
Annie
