Lovely free camp at Vaughan Springs south of Castlemaine, about 19 ks. Have your own soda fountain, toilets, gold prospecting, walking tracks. No power and you have to take rubbish out when you go.

Booked into the Chinerah Lake Caravan Park (NSW)..for the sat-sun-monday nites....
Was pretty disappointed not to be staying at the Heritage motor camp in Chinderah but....Their office isn't open on saturday mornings to let people book in (We always pay in advance)....Which means that no one would be there to open the boom gate & issue the site......NEVER heard so much 'crap'....Thought CP's were supposed to be finding it tough out there...................yer right !!!
Enjoy your 'Australia Day'...where ever you end up..
Cheers

I'm in Echuca at the moment, staying overnight after doing a bit of shopping and booking into Beaurepaires for next Wed for two new tyres.
Did you know they will give you seniors discount if you ask.
Heading back to Greens tomorrow, Friday, for the long weekend. Hope to see you there.

I cannot get a seniors card yet
But at pubs / clubs I mostly order senior meals and have never been questioned, not sure if that's an insult or not, but I will wear for a cheap meal.
Will be up Sat morning....

A seniors card is not the centrelink one, it's the one you apply for over a certain age. Is it 50 or 60. Can't remember, I know I've had it a long time.
Mind you, he didn't ask for evidence. Just said he doesnt always offer as it might offend. advantage of having grey hair.

BUT!!!!!! Sadly I work 36 hrs a week and you have to work less than 35!!!!!!!!!
the over 50 one you pay for and a lot of places don't count that as a seniors card like the govt. one

I've found they count it more than the Centrelink one Judy. I know Millionaires with their own businesses who have the over 50s one.
I have never handedy centrelink one over for discount, only the Seniors one. Can't remember if I had to pay for it, don't think so though. If I did, it must have been a small amount.
Seniors card is sent to free of charge you when you reach 60yrs of age, mine was. A lot of companies /businesses give discount and have a sticker in the window at the front of store etc.
Centrelink card gives discounts for shows, exhibitions, some travel etc.
