Set off from Mendooran early and arrived in Coonabarabran when the supermarkets opened, caught up with grocery shopping and bought frozen meals for the fridge freezer. Filled up with petrol and set off for Premer. All up around 120kms so it was an easy driving day.
Premer Camps6 #388 had been spoken highly of with others from the road and I was not disappointed, there is plenty of space for the largest rigs. Power is available, hot showers, drinking water, barbeque areas and play spaces for kids. I was set up by the time the others arrived and there was plenty of space and power outlets for them.
Rod and I have decided to stay here until Wednesday but Sue and Ross are considering leaving in an effort to escape the heat, We decided to remain here thinking that wherever we go it will be the same and we had invested plenty of effort getting set up.
Experimented with the frozen meal before getting the microwave by using a frying pan with water half way up the dish and heating it both sides. The chicken mornay worked out well better than my own efforts and with no washing up. John
WOW thanks for this update John.....I am going to do my first big dry run on leaving on Feb. 10th and Premer is my second stop after Gooloogong. I am going from Canberra to Beaudesert and return...taking 2 weeks. Love ya pics and print.....Sarg.

Sounds like another good spot John - you sure manage to find them.
We are at Adaminiby in the Snowys - in the caravan park - still hot, so want some power - pretty cheap anyway.
Got a great spot looking over the lake, beautiful breeze coming through - few clouds about, might get the change and some rain, but maybe not, has cooled a bit up here, been swimming in the lakes, lovely and cool!

Another informative and interesting post, John. I gather the pub means open from 12pm Sat and Sun and not from midnight hehe. Good on the Lions club for doing such a great job for travellers.
Oh no, I missed a chance to meet up with some legends of the forum by just two days!
I even thought seriously about staying at Premier but as Connor was not too well decided to push on to Quirindi to help the local vet get his/her next land cruiser!
