Gday...

I am so glad I travel in the quiet, sparsely populated, beautiful, natural areas of this wonderful country. I am beginning to wonder just where our society is heading ... if, in fact, it is heading anywhere worthwhile.

The headlines on the news and papers show almost nothing but assaults, killings, fights, road rage, drunkenness, kids high as kites stealing cars and crashing them into other cars and injuring/killing people. If not that type of news, then some brainless celebrity is doing something important like trimming their finger nails.

I came to the conclusion that the news was just upsetting me -so I've stopped watching it and reading it. My happiness index has increased significantly.

I too turn off the radio or tv when the news is on.. although some times you still need to be informed
but some days just not worth it
