Glad you got home safely. Still overcast John but no rain yet. But it is a lovely spot Steve. If you must have a shower Steve there is always Benarkin (toilet, free power, hot shower ($2) Cheers Alice

On the northern side there is also Benarkin (includes shower & toilet and even power if you're early enough to get a close park), and Obi Obi creek (east of Kenilworth) and to the south, around 160km but really lovely is Andrew Drynan park at the edge of the Border Ranges.

Have a picnic then go for a scenic drive through the forest. The 13km forest drive starts east of BlackbuttAguilar Highway and finishes at the camping areas. A small shelter shed, toilets, barbecues, firewood and picnic tables are provided in the Benarkin picnic area.

Camp or picnic beside Emu Creek, a tributary of the Brisbane River

.cheers from  Paul
