Left Tooloom Falls early and posted the updates in Beaudesert, it is a lovely drive down the Mt Lindsay Highway. Hilly for sure but all green and lush at this time of the year, between the hills there are quiet fields with cattle grazing.
There is an Aldi in Beaudesert and I headed straight there and brought my food stocks up to date, Maccas is opposite and met up with Rod there. We had planned to go to a site in Wiki called Mt Joyce and Rod went ahead to check it out, we decided not to go there because it was not suited for caravans and buses.
Plan B was Pioneer Park on the Mt Lindsay Highway at Woodhill some 20kms from Beaudesert towards Jimboomba. This is a good overnight stopover with flushing toilets and plenty of room.We camped behind the toilet block well away from the highway.
Not a camp to stay for several days so we plan to set off tomorrow our separate ways, Rod is taking my fridge freezer to the Sunshine Coast to a company who will fix it for sure. Whilst I have a breakfast appointment with Kathy and David (kaid) then off to the Gold Coast to catch up with a few things.
The longer plan is to catch up again later in the month at Warooma Dam so I look forward to meeting some of the GNs who are also heading north for the winter. John
